Last week the $39 million luxury home at 2701 Broadway received an offer and the sale is pending. This sale could set a new record as the most expensive single family home sold in San Francisco. The current owners bought the house in 2012 for $27 million. There were not any changes made to the house by the current sellers. Many spectators thought the $12 million price increase was outrageous when it came on the market. But the market just might prove them wrong. In the past couple of years there has been an influx of newly minted billionaires and venture capital money. As a result, it is driving up prices in the luxury real estate market. In 2013 the luxury home at 2950 Broadway Street sold for $35 million. That sale set a new record for the price of a single family home in Pacific Heights. Next week $39 million could be the new record!
The $39 million home is located on one of the most coveted blocks in San Francisco known as “Billionaire’s Row”. The luxury estate sits at the highest elevation point in Pacific Heights. It offers unparalleled panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz and the Bay. There are three rooftop terraces to enjoy the impressive views the home offers. The house has over 16,000 sq./ft. of living space on five levels. Each level can be accessed by elevator or stairs. There are seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, four half-bathrooms and a two car garage. One of the unique features of the property is the two story indoor basketball court. The home was originally designed and built in 1910 by architect James Miller. The home completed a full restoration by Moller Willrich Architecture in 2002. The finest quality of finishes are enjoyed throughout the house. It truly represents the luxury lifestyle of todays luxury home buyers.
